Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Caterpillar dealer MACORP has delivered 12 Cat 777 off-highway trucks and two Cat D8 track-type tractors to a large mining client in Guyana, increasing the company's mining fleet by 14 equipment.

MACORP, Guyana's authorized Caterpillar dealer, commissioned the equipment at the mining site and will offer continuing parts, maintenance, and technical support. The company's Learning Center also provided on-site training for new equipment operators.

The Cat 777 is a 100-tonne rigid mining truck built for high-volume hauling activities. The truck, powered by a Cat C32B diesel engine, combines electronic transmission controls with features that increase fuel economy, payload performance, and productivity in tough mining circumstances.

The Cat D8 is an approximately 39-tonne crawler dozer with a fully automated four-speed gearbox. It uses Caterpillar machine-control and operator-assistance technology to support applications such as material handling, site preparation, haul-road construction, and general mining operations.

MACORP stated that the delivery builds on its long-standing relationship with the undisclosed mining client, with the dealer providing product support to ensure fleet availability and performance as the company grows its operations.

MACORP, founded in Guyana in 1993, provides equipment, parts, and aftersales services to the mining, construction, agricultural, power, and material-handling industries. In addition to Caterpillar, its equipment range includes brands such as SEM, Case IH, Kalmar, Towmotor, and Sullair.
