Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Caterpillar has agreed to purchase John Fabick Tractor Company (Fabick), a Cat dealer with over a century of experience in areas of the Midwest.

The transaction will bring Fabick under Caterpillar ownership, covering its existing territory across parts of Missouri and Illinois, the entire state of Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Caterpillar stated that the purchase is designed to offer continuity for customers while keeping the dealer's existing local service and support capabilities.

Fabick has represented Caterpillar for almost a century, providing equipment and aftermarket service to clients in the construction, mining, and other heavy-equipment industries. 

The purchase is a significant step for Caterpillar, whose worldwide distribution strategy depends significantly on independently owned Cat dealers to deliver equipment sales, parts, and service in specific territory.
